Showcasing Biohealth Success in Ohio at BIO International
A 14-member Ohio delegation attending BIO International will promote the state’s prescription for success for Biohealth innovators.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The first 3D printed drug to receive FDA approval created by an Ohio-based company is one of the many Biohealth success stories a 14-member Ohio delegation will share at the BIO International Convention, June 6 – 9 in San Francisco.
JobsOhio, REDI Cincinnati, and 12 Ohio Biohealth organizations will participate in this global event attracting more than 15,000 biotechnology and pharmaceutical leaders from around the world. For one week, biotech innovators network to discover new opportunities, connect with strategic partners, and address emerging developments in drug discovery, biomanufacturing, genomics, and biofuels.
JobsOhio Biohealth Senior Managing Director Aaron Pitts says “BIO International offers an incredible opportunity to showcase why established, as well as growing Biohealth companies succeed here. Ohio has the perfect prescription for success for healthcare product and service innovators.”
Pitts continues “Ohio is a healthcare powerhouse and the Biohealth companies representing Ohio at BIO International demonstrate the diversity and impact of innovative solutions coming out of the state. These innovations have the potential to improve and extend life of people across the globe.”
“Greater Cincinnati offers a collaborative, accessible business ecosystem for Biohealth companies,” said Kimm Coyner, vice president of business development and projects at REDI Cincinnati. “The region has strong job-creation experts, like Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and CincyTech, to support an exciting emerging biotech ecosystem. BIO International is the right place to share that message with the larger Biohealth community.”
The Ohio Biohealth delegation will be available to meet with attendees during BIO International 2016 in the West Building, Booth #7437. Visit www.jobs-ohio.com/industries/biohealth for more information on how Ohio continues to transform the Biohealth industry.
