Airbus Works With Parker Aerospace on Fuel Cell to Power Planes
The world's largest planemaker is working with Ohio-based Parker Aerospace to develop advanced fuel cell technology.
Bloomberg reports Ohio-based Parker Aersopace and Airbus SAS have teamed up to develop technologies that would see fuel cells replace units that power aircraft cabins. Fuel cell technology has the potential to cut fuel use and emissions.
Airbus is developing next generation auxilliary power units -- whch currently operate on jet fuel -- and anticipates bringing the technology into service around the middle of the next decade. READ MORE >
